Feedback & Suggestions

The draft manual is being launched with several discussion forums based on key questions. These and other forums will hopefully stimulate debate and set the agenda for a conference or workshop that could be held later in 2005. Your input is needed - please contribute!

  • How can we make widely available the huge amount of detailed knowledge of cultivation for thousands of species that’s held by thousands of individuals around the world?
  • Is ‘Minimum Viable Population’ relevant to critically endangered plants? Or is ‘as many as possible’ the wisest advice?
  • Can genetic diversity be assessed done quickly, cheaply, easily and reliably?
  • Is there such a thing as low-cost, low-tech in vitro propagation?
  • How can losses during seed storage be assessed without losing valuable material?
  • How can we best get this manual to those that need it?
